About Me
Hi, I'm Luke. Over the years, I've built and scaled a wide range of publishing and online ventures.
In 2017, I co-founded Thunderclap Publishing alongside my friend and collaborator, Dillon Newman. Under the Thunderclap banner, we launched, bought, and sold multiple newsletters (some free, some paid) and SEO-driven sites. Elsewhere, I've been involved in finance- and research-focused publications, working closely with editors, freelancers, developers, designers, operators, and other entrepreneurs. Throughout it all, I've learned the difference between good copy versus lazy, a hype machine versus something sustainable, and the power of an engaged audience.
I've had my share of success stories, such as growing subscriber lists to tens of thousands, scaling websites to a near passive state, and finding new monetization strategies in a bootstrapped environment. I've also faced real setbacks: equity that didn't pan out, poor market timing, chasing trends without a plan, etc.
The future of online publishing isn't what it used to be, given the rise of AI and the evolving ways we find information. The incentives to publish may be changing, but the value of useful content, reliable data, and originality is only increasing.
While my online assets still keep me busy, I'm now working on my first-ever marketplace.
I'm occasionally available for advising or consulting and always open to exploring new partnerships if there's mutual interest.
